What's Yoshikawa Lab.
Welcome to our web site ! We study crystalline scintillators and we apply these scintillators to various fields such as nuclear medicine, high energy physics, astro physics, searching natural resources, and homeland security.
Prof. Martin Nikl (Director of Institute of Physics AS CR) visited?our Lab. We have a discussion about the physics of luminescence.
Associate prof. Yoshikawa, Dr. Yanagida (Research assistant prof.), Mr. Fukuda (Researcher), Dr. Ogino (Research fellow) participated in “Contact point of high power laser and materials science study group". Associate prof. Yoshikawa and Dr. Ogino made a presentation.

Associate professor Yoshikawa participated in JSPS 161 committee meeting held in Tokyo.
Laboratory members participated in ‘Imoni Party’ hosted by Saito laboratory. It was held in the courtyard of Scientific Measurements Building.
Associate professor Yoshikawa had been at University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy) as a visiting professor for collaboration researches.
Research assistant professor Fujita from Tokyo University visited our laboratory and installed MSGC experimental system with research assistant professor Yanagida and researcher Fukuda.
Associate professor Yoshikawa, research assistant professor Yanagida, Kim, researcher Kamada, and assistant Matsuya attended symposium sponsored by Sendai Medical Imaging Clinic and evening reception.
Associate professor Yoshikawa gave an invited lecture at the 20th Symposium of the Ceramic Society of Japan.
Dr. Eva Mihokova (Institute of Physics, AS CR) visited our group for the collaboration research.
Research fellow Sato had a short stay to carry out semiconductor experiments.
Ms. Matsuya joined our group as an assistant.
Associate professor Yoshikawa, research assistant professor Yanagida, Kim, researcher Kamada, and Fukuda participated in the 68th Autumn Meeting of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (Place : Hokkaido Institute of Technology, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan).
Research results of our group were presented at the “Tohoku University Centennial Celebration Festival”.
All group members enjoyed the summer vacation time.
Associate professor Yoshikawa and Mariya (D3) participated in the 15th International Conference on Crystal Growth (ICCG) held in Salt Lake City, USA.
Ms. Kamata Chiaki joined our group again as a secretary.
Fantastic annual summer trip of our group to Onagawa. All members enjoyed fishing boat and private beach.
